“WHITE LIES Trivia Sweepstakes” Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. 

Open to legal U.S. residents, ages 18 and up.

How to Enter:

1. Eligibility: The “WHITE LIES Trivia Sweepstakes” (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal US residents who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry.  Employees of Purple Papaya (the “Sponsor”) as well as immediate family members and household members of employees are not eligible.  Void where prohibited.

2. Timing:  The Promotion Period begins on July 1, 2010 and ends on July 31, 2010.

3. How to Enter:  During the Promotion Period, visit http://www.facebook.com/JayneAnnKrentz, and answer the trivia question “What is the name of the Arcane Society matchmaking agency used in WHITE LIES?” by commenting on the Trivia Question Post.  The answer to the question may be found on the WHITE LIES Page at the Jayne Ann Krentz website. 

4. Limits:  LIMIT one entry per person.  Attempts to enter this sweepstakes more than once may result in all entries being disqualified. 

5. Prize Drawing:  All winners are chosen by Sponsor, whose decisions concerning all matters related to this sweepstakes are final and binding.  Sponsor will randomly select the potential Sweepstakes winner(s) from all eligible entries received on or about August 1, 2010.  The potential winner will be notified via email on his or her Facebook account.  If a user has a private Facebook account (not accepting email) and would like to be considered for the drawing, please CONTACT US with your email address and Facebook User Name so we can contact you by email if you are a potential winner.  Your privacy is important to us and we will not sell your email address or use it for any purpose other than contacting you as a potential winner unless you OPT-IN to allow us to contact you.

6. Prizes:  One (1) Budget Tote from the Arcane Society Zazzle Shop, ARV $13.95. 

7. No substitution, transfers or assignments of prizes allowed.  In the event of unavailability, Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.  All expenses, including taxes, (if any) on receipt and use of prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.  Odds of winning depend on number of entries received (approximately 1:9,000)

8. Limitations of Liability:  Sponsor and any affiliated companies are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the sender, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this sweepstakes which may limit the ability to play or participate, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this sweepstakes.  Lost, late, misdirected, stolen, illegible, incomplete, entries will be disqualified.  If for any reason the sweepstakes is not capable of being conducted as described in these rules, Sponsor shall have the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.  In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized holder of the e-mail account.

9. Publicity:  By accepting the prize, winner grants to Sponsor the right to use his/her name, likeness, hometown and biographical information in advertising and promotion materials, including posting on the Sponsor’s website, without further compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.

10. Winner’s List:  Winners will be announced on the Jayne Ann Krentz Facebook Page.
