“Fallon Jones on Twitter” Monthly Sweepstakes Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. 

Open to legal U.S. residents, ages 18 and up.

How to Enter:

1. Eligibility: The “Fallon Jones on Twitter” Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal US residents who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry.  Employees of Purple Papaya (the “Sponsor”) as well as immediate family members and household members of employees are not eligible.  Void where prohibited.

How to Enter:  During the Promotion Period, visit http://twitter.com/ArcaneSociety, log in or create a free Twitter account, and become a follower of ArcaneSociety by selecting “Follow”.  To be eligible for the prize drawing, you must be a follower of ArcaneSociety at the time of each drawing (on or about the last day of each month).  Becoming a follower of ArcaneSociety is free.  If you choose to enter this Sweepstakes by Following ArcaneSociety on Twitter, you must remain a follower at the time of the drawing (on or about the last day of each month) to be considered for a prize.

Alternate Methods of Entry:  By mail:  Hand print your name, address, age, email address, and the words “Fallon Jones” on a 3x5 card.  Mail in a hand addressed #10 envelope to Purple Papaya, LLC, Fallon Jones Drawing, P.O. Box 620613, Woodside, CA 94062.  Online:  Visit www.JayneAnnKrentz.com and follow the instructions to enter the “Fallon Jones on Twitter” Monthly Sweepstakes.

5. Limits:  LIMIT one entry per person regardless of method of entry.  Attempts to enter this sweepstakes more than once may result in all entries being disqualified.  Non-winning entries roll over to subsequent drawings.  LIMIT one prize per person.

6. Opting Out:  If you are an eligible follower and wish to remain a follower, but opt out of this Sweepstakes, you may CONTACT US to opt out.  Please include your Twitter user name so we can identify you.  Your privacy is important to us and we will not sell your information or use it for any purpose other than removing you from this Sweepstakes.  (Although if you ask us a question, we will try to answer it.)

7. Prize Drawing:  All winners are chosen by Sponsor, whose decisions concerning all matters related to this sweepstakes are final and binding.  Sponsor will randomly select the potential Sweepstakes winner from all eligible entries received on or about the last day of each month, beginning August 31, 2009 and ending November 30, 2009.  The potential winner will be notified via direct tweet on his or her Twitter account (if a Twitter Follower is selected) or by email (if an email or mailed entry is selected) and will be required to provide the following:  full name, email address, mailing address, and also verify that he or she is age 18 or over within five (5) days of notification or forfeit the prize.  If the prize is forfeit, another winner will be selected.

8. Prizes:  Monthly prizes August through October:  One Arcane Society Mug (ARV $12.95 each).  November Prize:  One Arcane Society Mug and a manuscript of the Twitter micro-novel signed by Jayne Ann Krentz (ARV $17.95).  No substitution, transfers or assignments of prizes allowed.  In the event of unavailability, Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.  All expenses, including taxes, (if any) on receipt and use of prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.  Odds of winning depend on number of entries received (approximately 1:3,000)

Limitations of Liability:  Sponsor and any affiliated companies are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the sender, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this sweepstakes which may limit the ability to play or participate, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this sweepstakes.  Lost, late, misdirected, stolen, illegible, incomplete, postage due entries will be disqualified.  If for any reason the sweepstakes is not capable of being conducted as described in these rules, Sponsor shall have the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.  In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized holder of the e-mail account.

10. Publicity:  By accepting the prize, winner grants to Sponsor the right to use his/her name, likeness, hometown and biographical information in advertising and promotion materials, including posting on the Sponsor’s website, without further compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.

11. Winner’s List:  Winners will be posted at the JAYNE ANN KRENTZ website.
